Commercial Combined Underwriter (Renewals)

We are currently working on an exclusive basis with a fast-growing independent MGA who provide commercial insurance solutions to UK brokers, who due to continued growth now seek a Commercial Underwriter to join their Commercial Combined Renewals team.

They are looking to speak with experienced commercial underwriting specialists, who can demonstrate they can build and maintain broker relationships across the commercial insurance space.

You will be responsible for focusing on the development of existing Broker relationships, underwriting UK Commercial Combined and Property Owners risks under delegated binding authority with A rated security. You will bring with you a proactive approach to developing broker relationships, and use your underwriting knowledge to develop and maintain existing relationships with brokers and insurers alike.

You will be able to display a solid track record in a similar role, with relationship development and technical underwriting as the 2 key aspects of the role. You should have a good technical knowledge of commercial combined risks and the ability to drive forward broker relationships.

You will also need to be based a commutable distance from their office near Southend-on-Sea.

In return, the salary on offer is £30-40k, plus bonuses (on commissioned income brought in), depending on skills/experience.
