Commercial Account Handler/Technician

We are currently working with a successful Insurance Brokers, who now have some exciting opportunities to join their Commercial SME team in the Burgess Hill office.

They are looking for an Account Handler/Technician to work within the SME Team, who deal with all classes of Commercial Insurance for existing and new clients up to an income level – commission or fee – of £3,500.

The ideal candidate will be proactive with strong communication skills and have a desire to develop their professional career within a growing team and award-winning business.

You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years Commercial Insurance experience with exposure and good knowledge of; Property Owners, Commercial Combined, Fleet, Financial Lines and Package business, and be Cert CII or have a strong desire to work towards this within 12 months of joining the business. Those with good commercial claims or underwriting backgrounds will also be considered!

You will need to have your feet on the ground but also be able to seek and maximise opportunities with existing relationships and be able to generate new leads. You will be responsible for developing and growing your own book of business and contribute towards the team’s new business target.

You will also be confident and articulate in the written and oral skill of listening, questioning, influencing and closing. High attention to detail is also a must!
