Commercial Underwriting Manager

Are you an experienced commercial underwriting professional, with experience gained in an MGA, and looking for a new role that will offer you a great challenge and the opportunity to move into a Director level role in the not to distant future? Well this could be just the opportunity for you!

We are currently working closely with a Tech focused MGA in the City, who due to structural changes, are now seeking to appoint an Underwriting Manager to manage their Commercial Lines Underwriting Teams.

They want to speak to two types of people. Senior Underwriters who are looking for the next step in their career, as well as existing underwriting managers who are looking for a new challenge with an MGA who are really going places. Make no mistake this is a truly excellent opportunity, as previously stated, the successful candidate will be groomed to eventually replace the Underwriting Director and have the opportunity for shares in the business.

You will need have strong commercial combined/commercial package underwriting experience gained in an MGA/Underwriting Agency environment, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit, being able to develop and drive both the business and team. and possessing strong insurer and broker contacts. You will have the ability to inspire those around you, so must also be a highly credible individual. Product Development experience is also required and someone with E Trade experience is highly desirable, although not essential. Someone holding Dip CII or ACII status or having gained significant progress achieving this is also sought.

In return, the salary on offer is negotiable depending on experience, but will be circa £65-75k plus bonus, and a strong benefits package and the potential for shares in the business in the future.
