Broker Technician

Our client is an international Lloyd's Broker based in the City of London. They are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual who would like to join them in a Business Support role to help drive efficiencies in the business processing and supporting brokers in business production.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing Lloyds Broker, where you will be working directly with the directors in developing operating models, business strategies and utilising various software such as Total Objects and Acturis in obtaining management information reports.
 

The Business Support role is a full 360-role, offering exposure of Lloyd’s of London, UK and international clients, whilst working with brokers and directors within the company.

 

You will be responsible for running daily/weekly/monthly MI reports and record daily operational performance, producing ad-hoc reports to analyse performance to identify opportunities and reduce inefficiencies within the business.  You will also be required to assist brokers in completing client presentations/proof reading, assist in running renewal reports and client letters and developing MI reports working in conjunction with Directors and the Group Finance Manager. (MI reports such as booked premium, commissions, net retained income per month and ensuring these match up with group accounting procedures.)

 

To be considered for this role, you must have excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and ideally able to use Total Objects and Acturis software (although full training can be given on the last 2!) Meticulous attention to detail and organisation skills will also be needed! You will also Ideally be either degree qualified or CII qualified with a minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role gained in a broker or insurer role.  

 

Salary on offer is £28-40k per annum, depending on skills and experience
