Commercial Underwriter (Renewals - SME Clients)

Are you a commercial underwriting professional, with experience gained in an MGA, and looking for a new role that will offer you a great challenge and the opportunity to develop your career? Well this could be just the opportunity for you!

We are currently working closely with a Tech focused MGA in the City who have been at the forefront of E Trading, who due to organic growth are now seeking to appoint a Commercial Underwriter to join the Commercial Lines Renewals Underwriting Team.

They want to speak to those already working in an MGA, who understand the way an MGA works and trades. Someone who possesses a sales focused mind, and who loves to push and develop trade with brokers.

You will be responsible for working with a panel of brokers, and providing them with professional support for renewals, mid-terms adjustments, cancellations and general enquiries.

You will need to have at least 3 years Property & Casualty experience gained in an MGA/Underwriting Agency environment (ideally SME focused). This can be as an underwriting assistant/assistant underwriter who is looking to make the next step up to a full underwriting role or someone already in an underwriter position.

You will also need to possess an entrepreneurial spirit, being able to develop and drive business relationships with your brokers. You will also need to already hold the Cert CII qualification too.

In return, the salary on offer is £30-35k, plus annual bonus, and a strong benefits package.
