Senior Claims Reviewer - Income Protection

A Senior Claims Reviewer is now wanted for a leading local mutual society in Cirencester (South Cerney), to work on Individual Income Protection Claims.

This business has experienced some impressive growth recently and have a leadership team in place to make sure this continues and have big plans for the future. They currently number 72 people in the business as a whole, so you will know most people there once you have settled in and be able to put a name to the face, and you will be working in a fantastic purpose built office on the outskirts of Cirencester!

Due to the very low turnover of staff, this is a rarely available career opportunity for someone career minded who wants to work for a business who offer first class training and development for all its staff as well as a stable and enjoyable working environment.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Claims professional to join them. Please note to be considered you MUST have a background in Financial Services/Insurance and a minimum of 2-3 years handling income protection claims as well as experience of supervising staff (carrying out reviews & mentoring). These are all essential, so please do not apply if you do not have this experience.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the claim’s reviewing team, including performance management under the direction of the Head of Claims, being responsible for the timely and accurate management of complex and/or sensitive income protection claims.

You will review all aspects of the claim, including medical, financial, vocational and occupational aspects, ensuring that the claim remains valid and the appropriate level of benefit is being paid and/or identifying cases where the claimant has the capacity to undertake work

You will be required to proactively manage all aspect of admitted claims providing reassure to the Societies members through excellent customer service, ensuring the continued validity of claims, whilst developing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships, as required.

Office hours are 8:45am to 5pm with an hour for lunch, and the salary on offer is circa £38-45k, depending on experience.
