Commercial Underwriters x2 (SME Package business)

Superb opportunities are now available for those who are at the early stages of their underwriting career and currently hold the CII accreditation. This would be a great opportunity for those currently working as an Assistant Underwriter to make the jump into a Commercial Underwriter role!  

 

We are currently working closely with a Tech focused MGA in the City who have been at the forefront of E Trading, who due to organic growth are now seeking to appoint 2 Commercial Underwriters to join the Commercial Lines SME Team, handling SME package business. These roles will be based in their prestigious offices near Aldgate Tube station!

 

They are keen to speak to those already working in an MGA, who understand the way an MGA works and trades, but will also consider someone working for an insurer. They are also keen to speak to people who possess a sales focused mind, and who love to push and develop trade with brokers.

 

You will be responsible for working with a panel of brokers, and providing them with professional support for new business, renewals, mid-terms adjustments, cancellations and general enquiries, where you will be handling  Commercial SME business, in the package policy sectors i.e Property Owners, Retail Package Polices, Office Package policies, Contractors/Tradesman.

 

You will need to have at least 1-2 years experience gained in an MGA/Underwriting Agency or Insurer environment (ideally SME focused). This can be as an underwriting assistant/assistant underwriter who is looking to make the next step up to a full underwriting role or someone already in an underwriter position.

 

You will also need to possess an entrepreneurial spirit, being able to develop and drive business relationships with your brokers.

 

In return, the salary on offer is £27,500-32,500, plus annual bonus, and a strong benefits package.
