Commercial Claims Handler - Key Accounts

A super opportunity is now available to join a forward-thinking independent Commercial Insurance Broker on their Commercial Claims team!

As such we are keen to speak to you if you have 3 years plus claims handling experience (can be commercial or personal lines – gained in a broker or insurer), coupled with a genuine desire to absolutely rock at what you do, working for a company who rewards you for doing it! Based in Maidstone, Kent. This broker is a decent size (currently 52 staff) and have grown impressively since their inception in 2009, and have further big, exciting and innovate plans to develop the business going forward.

Due to these plans, they are now looking for someone to join them as a Claims Handler working on and servicing their Key Accounts. You will be responsible for advising and updating key account clients on all relevant events and discussions during the claim ensuring complete customer happiness

You will regularly assess the status of claims with clients / insurers / recovery agents/solicitors and ensure that all parties are informed of progress or chased for updates as necessary. You will also be responsible for providing necessary reports to Account Executive’s on claims history and other information prior to renewal, etc as well as updating insurers and informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process and ensure that claims statistics and placing department or insurers on risk, are accurate and produced in accordance to agreed SLAs.

You will be managing and maintaining the claims diary on the OpenGi system as well as other databases, so experience using OpenGi would be a distinct advantage!

In return, the salary on offer is £25-28,000 depending on experience, with 20 days holiday to start. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:15pm. They also throw an amazing Christmas do every year, and have a ton of company events, including a summer BBQ and even a local football team!
