Commercial Underwriters x2

We are currently working with a leading independent and family owned underwriting agency based in Dublin, who have shown really impressive growth over the past few years. Due to this growth as a business, they are now keen to bring on board another 2 Commercial Underwriters.

Their aim is to become the brokers ‘first choice’ when placing commercial business. They deliver excellence through the products and first-class service they provide to their exclusive panel of partner brokers. They have been trading in Ireland since 2011 and is a trusted and established brand in Ireland.

These roles will sit in a growing and dynamic underwriting team writing the following products:

Commercial Combined

Commercial & Residential Property Owners

Retail and Office packages

Standalone General Liability

Legal Expenses

They are looking to speak with experienced commercial underwriters with at least 4 years commercial underwriting experience, who can demonstrate a strong track record of managing and developing existing broker relationships and renewal based business.

You will be responsible for focusing on the development of existing Broker relationships, as well as managing any existing relationships you have already got in place. You will be personally responsible for proactively underwriting renewal business and driving the growth of your Broker accounts with a view to developing the relationship and increasing the amount of business underwritten from these brokers for Commercial Combined, Commercial & Residential Property Owners, Retail and Office packages, Standalone General Liability and Legal Expenses.

You will be able to display a solid track record in a similar role, with relationship development and technical underwriting as the 2 key aspects of the role. You should have a good technical knowledge of commercial combined risks.

In return, the salary on offer is €35-€50,000, plus Private Healthcare, and up to 25 days holiday to start. Working Hours – Monday to Friday 9AM till 5PM with one hour for lunch.
