Fit Out Operative

Hours
40 hours per week:

  • Monday to Thursday, 7am–4pm

  • Friday, 7am–1pm

We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Fit Out Operative to assist with the installation of mechanical systems and components on site. This position involves handling, positioning, and installing mechanical infrastructure to a high standard while maintaining strict adherence to site safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Install mechanical components including pipework, brackets, supports, and ducting
  • Operate FLT, scissor lift, and cherry picker to transport and install materials
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and layout plans
  • Assist with assembly and alignment of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe lifting and working at height

Requirements

  • Previous welding experience
  • Proven background in mechanical installation or utilities work
  • Valid licenses/certifications for FLT, scissor lift, and cherry picker
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Strong understanding of manual handling and safe lifting
  • Comfortable working at height and in physically demanding environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
