Senior Commercial Property Lawyer
Senior Commercial Property Solicitor
Cheltenham | Hybrid | £65,000 - £85,000
Your clients know your work. Your next move should give you the platform to build on those relationships, take on quality commercial property matters and continue growing your practice.
An established law firm in Cheltenham is looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join its team at Senior Associate level or equivalent. This opportunity would suit a commercially minded lawyer with a strong technical background, an existing client following and the ambition to develop new business within a supportive, collaborative environment.
You'll handle a broad range of commercial property transactions, work closely with clients on important business decisions and contribute to the continued development of the practice. With hybrid working, a competitive benefits package and scope to build on your existing reputation, this is an opportunity to combine senior-level responsibility with long-term career development.
The Role
You'll advise on a varied caseload of commercial property matters, delivering technically sound, commercially focused advice while developing client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the practice.
The work will involve a mix of transactional and landlord and tenant matters, giving you the opportunity to apply your expertise across a broad commercial property portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
Commercial Property Transactions: Managing freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, ensuring transactions progress efficiently and clients receive clear, practical advice.
Commercial Leases: Advising landlords and tenants on commercial leasing matters, including lease negotiations and associated property issues.
Refinancing: Handling property refinancing transactions and supporting clients through the legal requirements of commercial lending arrangements.
Client Relationships: Maintaining and developing trusted relationships with existing clients, understanding their commercial objectives and providing a responsive, high-quality service.
Business Development: Using your existing client following and professional network to generate new instructions, strengthen referral relationships and develop further opportunities.
Commercial Advice: Identifying legal and commercial risks, negotiating practical solutions and helping clients make informed decisions about their property interests.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge and contributing to a positive, collaborative working environment.
Practice Development: Playing an active role in the continued growth of the commercial property team through client retention, networking and new business generation.
The Opportunity
At this level, the right move is about more than the next transaction. It's about having the opportunity to develop your practice, strengthen valuable client relationships and make a meaningful contribution to the success of the wider team.
This role offers the scope to bring your existing commercial property experience and professional network into an established practice, with a varied caseload covering transactions, leasing, refinancing and landlord and tenant work.
You'll have the opportunity to maintain close client relationships, develop new sources of work and collaborate with colleagues who value the contribution each person makes to the firm.
Hybrid working provides flexibility, while the benefits package and supportive team environment offer a strong foundation for continued professional development.
For an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor looking to combine quality work with commercial autonomy and the opportunity to grow an established practice, this is a role worth exploring.
