Broker Support Desk Specialist

 

Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Broking professional to join our Broking Support Desk.

This is a great opportunity for someone with Commercial and Personal Lines experience who enjoys finding solutions, working with people and helping to win and secure business.

The Role

You’ll act as a key point of contact for our network of brokers, providing support and advice on placing risks and finding the right insurance solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling broker enquiries and quotation requests from start to finish
  • Placing Commercial and Personal Lines business with insurers
  • Providing technical guidance and advice on markets and insurer appetite
  • Building strong relationships with brokers and insurers
  • Supporting new broker onboarding
  • Identifying opportunities for training and business development
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring FCA and company compliance
  • Working closely with internal teams to provide a high-quality service

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced within an insurance broking environment
  • Confident across Commercial and Personal Lines
  • Technically knowledgeable with a good understanding of insurer markets
  • Experienced with Acturis and insurer portals
  • A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Organised, proactive and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment

Minimum 2 years’ insurance broking experience required.

Cert CII, working towards it, or a willingness to study is desirable, with full support provided.

The Opportunity

This is a varied role where you’ll use your existing broking knowledge while working across a broad range of risks and supporting a growing network of independent brokers.

Remote, hybrid and office-based options are available, depending on location, with some travel to Head Office and other locations required.
