Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Legal Executive

Sheffield | £50,000 - £55,000

£50,000–£55,000, 38 days' annual leave and a role built around taking ownership of your work. If you're an experienced conveyancer looking for your next move, this opportunity in Sheffield deserves your attention.

An established regional law firm is looking to expand its residential property team in Sheffield with an experienced Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX professional who can confidently manage their own caseload.

This is an opportunity to bring your conveyancing expertise into a collaborative environment where client care, efficient case management and professional development matter. You'll have responsibility for your own files, the support of experienced colleagues and the opportunity to deliver a high-quality service without having to navigate every challenge alone.

With a competitive salary, an impressive holiday allowance and a Monday-to-Friday working pattern, this role offers a compelling package for an established conveyancer looking for both professional responsibility and a sustainable working environment.

The Role

You'll manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently, overseeing transactions from instruction through to completion while ensuring clients receive clear advice and consistent communication throughout.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Residential Conveyancing: Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions, taking ownership of files from initial instruction through to completion.

  • End-to-End Case Management: Progressing transactions efficiently, managing deadlines, resolving issues and ensuring matters move forward without unnecessary delays.

  • Client Advice: Providing practical, accessible guidance throughout the conveyancing process, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.

  • Client Relationships: Maintaining high standards of client care through responsive communication, professionalism and a proactive approach to resolving queries.

  • Compliance & Risk: Ensuring files are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and appropriate risk management standards.

  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with support staff and colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow and deliver a consistent client experience.

  • Performance & Service Delivery: Contributing to team objectives through effective caseload management, attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

The Opportunity

At five years' PQE or beyond, you should have the technical knowledge to manage your own files and the confidence to deal directly with clients. The right working environment allows you to put that experience to good use while continuing to develop professionally.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your caseload within an established residential property team, supported by colleagues who value collaboration and consistent service standards.

You'll join a regional firm with offices across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the East Midlands, offering an established platform for your continued development. The firm has lawyers recognised in The Legal 500 and places emphasis on professional growth, inclusion and long-term careers.

The package is a particular attraction: a salary of £50,000–£55,000, 38 days' annual leave including public holidays and birthday leave, and a standard Monday-to-Friday working pattern.

For an experienced conveyancer who wants responsibility for their own work, a supportive team and a strong overall benefits package, this is an opportunity worth considering.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced residential conveyancers who can manage their own caseload confidently and take pride in delivering an excellent client experience.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience: At least five years' PQE or equivalent practical experience in residential conveyancing.

  • Qualifications: Qualification as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX professional.

  • Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of residential conveyancing and the ability to progress transactions independently.

  • Caseload Management: Confidence handling a full workload with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Client Service: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to keeping clients informed and providing clear, practical advice.

  • Organisation: Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to file management and compliance.

  • Teamwork: A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and support staff.

  • Professional Standards: A proactive approach to problem-solving, service delivery and maintaining high-quality work.

The package includes:

  • Salary: £50,000–£55,000, depending on experience.

  • Annual Leave: 38 days inclusive of bank and other public holidays, including birthday leave.

  • Life Assurance: Cover worth three times your annual salary.

  • 24/7 GP Access: Convenient access to medical advice.

  • Physiotherapy: Support for physical health and recovery.

  • Gym Discounts: Savings on fitness memberships.

  • Cashback Benefits: Access to additional employee rewards and savings.
