We’re looking for a Headhunter to join our legal recruitment team at CKB Recruitment, working closely with our Head of Legal, to help them find and engage great candidates.
Established in 2017, CKB is a specialist recruitment business with an established insurance division and a growing presence in the legal sector. We’re investing in that growth and want someone who enjoys the research, relationship-building and persistence involved in finding the right person.
The role
Your focus will be on candidate sourcing and engagement, supporting our head of Legal with recruitment assignments across the legal market.
You’ll go beyond waiting for applications. You’ll research firms, identify potential candidates and start conversations with people who may not be actively looking for a move.
Day to day, you’ll be:
Identifying and approaching legal professionals through LinkedIn, CV databases, referrals and targeted research.
Mapping law firms and building candidate pipelines for current and future vacancies.
Making calls and writing personalised messages that get people interested in a conversation.
Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, ambitions, salary expectations and preferred locations.
Assessing suitability and presenting relevant candidates to Danny.
Keeping in touch with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Maintaining accurate records on our CRM and keeping candidate information up to date.
Working closely with Danny to understand each brief and refine your searches.
Who we’re looking for
You might already be working in recruitment resourcing or headhunting, or have experience in a role involving proactive telephone contact, research and relationship-building.
Previous legal recruitment experience would be useful, but we’re also keen to hear from people with transferable skills and a real interest in learning the market.
You’ll need to be:
Confident picking up the phone and speaking with people you haven’t met.
Curious and resourceful, with the patience to track down candidates who can be difficult to find.
A strong communicator who can build rapport and ask thoughtful questions.
Organised enough to manage several searches and follow up consistently.
Resilient when messages go unanswered or the first approach doesn’t work.
Motivated by results and the opportunity to earn bonuses when your candidates are placed.
